You have found us. Now you want to know if we actually deliver. Here is the evidence.

The Promises Problem

Every HGV school claims to be the best. High pass rates, great instructors, transparent pricing. Words cost nothing. Results are harder to fake.

The Risk Problem

HGV training is a significant financial commitment. Choosing the wrong school doesn’t just waste money. It wastes weeks and can set your career change back by months.

The Evidence Problem

You want to hear from people who were in exactly your position: unsure, researching, wondering if it was worth it. Not a marketing message. A real person’s honest account.

We Let Our Students Do the Talking

We have trained hundreds of students. We have 37 five-star Google reviews from named individuals. Our 75% first-time pass rate means three in four students walk out of their test with a licence. Students travel to us from Scotland, Birmingham, Manchester, and beyond because the results justify the journey.

Read what they said. Then call Dan and ask anything you want.

Three Stories Worth Reading

Helen Smyth

Teacher turned HGV Driver

“At 5ft 2 and a teacher by trade, I was the last person anyone expected to get an HGV licence. Go Big never made me feel out of place. Steve adapted everything to how I learned. I passed first time and I now drive professionally. If I can do it, you can do it.”

Travelled from Birmingham

Reece Skidmore

0 Minors on the Drive

“Passed with 0 minors on the reverse and 0 minors on the drive. I could not have asked for better preparation. The instructors knew exactly what the examiner would be looking for. They didn’t just prepare me to pass. They prepared me to excel.”

HGV Graduate

Chris Hutchison

Travelled from Scotland

“I travelled down from Scotland to train with these guys for a week and can’t believe I came away with an HGV licence! These guys are the best in the biz. If you want the best, Go Big is worth the journey.”

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I passed my HGV class one with Go Big Driving School. I had never driven anything bigger then a large van. Dan made it so simple with the paper work and booking my medical, theory test, CPC, and actual driving test. Steve was my teacher and he knows his stuff. He made it very relaxed, easy flowing and helpful with all the bits i struggled with. Steve has lots of knowledge of road signs and was testing me with them while I was driving to help keep me scanning and alert while training. Nathan is the main man and he was great on test day with calming my nerves and helping me relax. I would definitely recommend this company no doubt about that. So if anyone else is interested then give Dan a call and he can help you out with your next steps in becoming a HGV master. I will say what I learnt is. Less space less pace. Where there is a van there could be a man and the hardest part of a roundabout is getting on it.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. These guys are just the best. I was recommended by a friend who passed with them and he was correct with the praise he gave them. Nothing is to much trouble for these guys. My instructor Steve was brilliant, he explained things in a way that was easy to understand and relevant. He has the patience of a saint. Dan in the office organised everything without any problems which just left me to concentrate on driving and listening. I have local driving schools on my doorstep but traveled from Lincoln to Go Big and it was the best thing I could have done. If you want to learn with people that not only teach you but also help and coach you these are the guys. Thanks Steve and Dan.

What Choosing the Wrong School Actually Costs

A failed test is not just a resit fee. It is another wait for an available slot, lost wages if you have already handed in notice, and the knock to confidence that comes from not being properly prepared.

Our 75% first-time pass rate exists because we do not put students in for their test before they are ready. That is the difference between a school that cares about your outcome and one that cares about throughput.

Failed test, resit fee, weeks of delay, and you still need more training

Group training where your pace and your problems get less attention than they deserve

A school that disappears after you pay and leaves you to figure out the rest yourself
